YDBA 2023-24 Affiliation

Welcome to a new season ! Badminton Ontario has changed their affiliation/membership model this year and has eliminated PlayerWeb.

YDBA’s Affiliation for this season is valid from September 1, 2023 – August 31, 2024. If you wish to affiliate, please fill it out completely and email it back to us. You can find payment information at the top of the form.  YDBA will inform Badminton Ontario of your affiliation once we have received the completed form along with payment.

Here are the steps clubs need to do to affiliate.

Step 1 : The club affiliates with YDBA for $75.00.
Step 2 :  Then the club affiliates with Badminton Ontario 2 ways :

Option 1. as an insured club (general commercial liability for the club & sports accident for the individual), the club pays $7.00/individual
Option 2. as an affiliated club (no insurance): flat rate depending on the number of players the club has (e.g., 0-50 members $50, 51-100 members $150, etc.)

* Individuals include athletes, coaches (volunteer or paid), trainers, administrators and managers (volunteer or paid), officials, and board members – anyone who is covered by insurance.

Clubs will be invoiced on a quarterly basis throughout the year for their affiliate membership reported through Powerhouse on the following billing schedule:

Billing Schedule 2023-2024

• Monday, January 8, 2024 (for all registrations between September 1 – December 31)
• Monday, April 1, 2024 (for all registrations between January 1 – March 31)
• Monday, July 2, 2024 (for all registrations between April 1 – June 30)
• Monday, September 2, 2024 (for all additional registrations between July 1 – August 31)
